Established in Geneva in 1805, Pictet is a Swiss private bank specialising in asset and wealth management. With 25 representative offices worldwide, over 3,400 employees, and CHF 404 billion in assets, Pictet is regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious financial institutions. As a senior designer at Scheybeler+company, I worked with Pictet on the strategy, design, and development of their first major .com structural overhaul and visual refresh in almost a decade.
Previously Pictet had never been able to use their coporate typeface Lexicon online. Developments in @font-face meant that was now a reality, however the rendering quality of the typeface online wasn't up to the standards of Pictet. So we worked with Tim Ahrnes of Just Another Foundry to encode Lexicon with cleartype hinting required for it to display in its full glory.
